My name is Murphy Wheeler and I am currently a sophomore at Indiana University. I am studying Sports Communication and would love to go into a profession involving analyzing or broadcasting sports on radio or television or covering sports for a newspaper. I have been involved with WIUX, the student radio station here at IU, where I have already lived out a lifelong dream of broadcasting IU basketball games. I have also covered local high school sports for the Times Mail newspaper in Bedford, Indiana and a website called HHC Sports. I am from the small town of Orleans, Indiana and am very proud of my Hoosier roots. My specialty in sports is probably basketball because I played that along with running cross-country and track in high school at Orleans. Although basketball is my forte, I am also well-versed on topics in football, baseball, golf and NASCAR. These will be some of the topics I cover in later posts. I consider myself to have a wide knowledge of sports and have constantly followed and conducted predictions on sports since I was very young. I have over a hundred notebooks full to prove it!
